Can the peanuts that squirrels bury grow into a plant?

Yes. Squirrels help plant many nuts that later germinate. Their memory of where they hid it can be fuzzy. If the squirrel dies prematurely then perhaps everything he buried will grow. Some nuts they chew one side so that it won't germinate. Peanuts are not one of them. read more
