Can we boil soy milk?

As a raw food vegan, I don't recommend boiling anything personally, let alone soy milk. In fact, I don't recommend ANY soy products that are not fermented (tempeh). Soy beans have lots of protein but it is so hard to digest that you actually get little benefit from it. read more

It is aseptically tetra packed, hence heating or boiling for hygiene is not required. You can boil it also, but you need to keep stirring occassionally. Otherwise some part of milk will stick at bottom. However, when I make coffee with soya milk, I have never noticed milk sticking at the bottom. read more

Homemade soy milk has to be boiled because soy beans (and legumes in general) have compounds in them that can make you ill if you eat them raw. Soy milk from the carton doesn't have to be boiled. However, people who are used to boiling dairy milk (not an issue in the US) might extend the habit to other packaged milks. read more

Yes, you certainly can heat the soy "milk" to boiling point. We do it all the time for a hot drink and for hot cereal for my son. I would agree with Tsaico, that you are better of heating to just short of boiling for the best flavour. read more
