Can you get by with French in Morocco?

During my more than 7 years living in Taroudant, I've found that even the most down and out street person seems to speak French to some degree. Darija is the most spoken local Language which has some words from French, Arabic and Tamazight language as well which the Berbers speaks in Morocco. You’ll have no problem while in the big cities to find people speaking French, especially the older generation, and the current generation speaks English more. read more
