Why everyone says only Baltimore? I'm not sure. We are a two car household—one for me, one for mom. We live in Silver Spring, MD (just outside of DC). All of Montgomery County and Prince George's County can be navigated without a car. read more

You can live in Baltimore City without a car with no problems. Most of the counties also have bus systems but you could walk a couple of miles to get to the bus lines. Check the walk scores that are given for most neighborhoods and they will give you an accurate answer for the area you are going to. read more

You can live in montogmery county without a car. You can live in SIlver spring and take the J1,J2 or J3 bus to BEthesda Naval hospital now everything depends upon your rent budget. Rent in Besthesda is higher then Silver Spring. If you live in/close to Silver Spring Metro you do not need a car because you can take metro/bus to all most any where in the DC area. read more
