Clumping litter allows you to discard pee out of litterbox as it gathers liquid into solid clumps. Non clumping however absorbs the liquid within the litter crystals. You will loose clumping properties if you mix it with non-clumping one. read more
The cat is a temporary visitor that can do long term damage. You can switch up the cat litter and tell your friend it’s your home and you need to deal with it in a way that works for you, otherwise she can figure out other arrangements and hope the cat is cool with it, and doesn’t start peeing on everything or you can suck it up and deal with the sawdust for a bit. read more
