Community is a huge part of being a practicing Catholic. If you don't mesh well with the members of a parish or their pastor, it can make going to mass a weekly cross to bear. You can attend any Catholic service any time. I (Hugh) went to a Catholic Church for seven years before becoming Catholic (yeah, I know, it's a guy thing, fear of commitment). The only thing is please don't take communion until you are in communion. read more
