Could a bird be able to fly without tail feathers?

Many adult birds adapt quite readily to flying without their tail feathers. Some birds can fly “OK” with no tail feathers, but will not have the agility they normally have when the tail is complete. A handful of birds would find maintaining lift would be difficult and would have reduced distance flight if their tail was missing.
