To address the question’s basic premise, we didn’t actually fly in an “Airship,” we flew in a Blimp. A blimp is essentially a balloon who’s shape is maintained by the pressure of the gases within the envelope. An Airship has a rigid structure with gas bladders contained within the outer envelope. The Hindenburg was an airship. read more
