IMO the Allies could have won the Battle of France in 1940 if they had been more resilient. Crucial was the lack of moral toughness of the French army leadership during the Blitzkrieg. After the initial heavy losses in the Blitzkrieg they thought everything was lost, started to accept loss and to acquiesce in losing the war. read more
