Sagan almost certainly believed in UFOs in that UFOs are Unidentified Flying Objects. I think it’s very unlikely he believed that UFOs are alien spacecraft, whose occupants have a preoccupation with the human digestive tract, or making cattle scream and similar. read more

On another forum, somebody claimed that Carl Sagan had once been a firm believer in UFOs visiting Earth. A quick google bought up this page. But, having read pretty much all of Sagan's books, I just cannot believe this claim that he once thought that ETs landed here in historical times. read more
