Did Dumbledore repair Hagrid's wand?

Did the late Albus Dumbledore mend Rubeus Hagrid's broken wand, either before or after discovering the Keeper of Keys and Grounds was innocent of opening the Chamber of Secrets? read more

Dumbledore may have bewitched the umbrella to do simple spells or else repair the snapped wand with the Elder Wand as Harry did to his. This is hinted towards in the first book after Ollivander's questioning and Hagrid's glanced at his umbrella, gripping it tightly. read more

The wand may have been, in some form, mended (probably by Dumbledore using the Elder Wand because this wand showed the power to repair broken wands). When Hagrid collects Harry from the shack the Dursleys are hiding in, Hagrid is able to make a fire to cook sausages, and to speed up the boat when he and Harry leave the shack. read more

In fact, Hagrid does mention that he still has pieces of his wand and the fact that he uses his umbrella for performing spell is an indication that the broken pieces of the wand is inside his umbrella. read more
