I would say no. Iris was a messenger of the gods, and in the Illiad Iris aids whom the gods want. She appears to Priam and Helen and appears to be helping Troy in the first part of the Illiad, but then appears to Achilles and delivers messages to him in the latter part. read more
Iris didn’t take sides. She served in her role as Zeus’ messenger, and since Zeus himself stayed out of the Trojan War, she carried messages from him to both sides equally. read more

Iris would also appear during the Trojan War, with Homer mentioning the goddess many times; most notably, Iris would appear to transport the wounded Aphrodite back to Mount Olympus, after the goddess had been wounded by Diomedes. read more
