I have taken several antidepressants over the years and none have suppressed my emotions, dulled them maybe but they have always still been there. They work on the parts of the brain that give us bad emotions and feelings so we have less of those emotions and (hopefully) more of the good ones. read more

Antidepressants do NOT suppress emotions. The romanticized notion that meds will “dull” a person, somehow make them less interesting or creative or talented, is harming neurodivergent people every day because it makes them avoid medication. read more
