Do antihistamines weaken the immune system?

If antihistamines work by blocking the release of histamine (which defends the body) then do people on antihistamines have a weaker immune system than they should have? I mean I take antihistamines everyday of the year but I want a good health immune system I dont ant to supress it. read more
