Actually plenty of Israeli Jews name their son Yonatan, or Yoni, in short, which is the Hebrew version of John. In the Old Testament, Jonathan was the son of King Saul and a true friend to king David. Benjamin Netanyahu's brother who was killed in action was named Yoni. It is a very common name. read more
