Some bats, such as vespertilionids, have large uropatagiums with tails that run to the end of the membrane or just beyond. In others, such as molossids and rhinopomatids, the tail extends considerably beyond the edge of the membrane. read more
Furry tailed bats usually do not dwell in caves when roosting. This group tends to hang from twigs, usually hidden by leaves in trees.
