The term fossil fuels is a bit misleading. Some hydrocarbons have an abiotic origin. Most fossil fuels formed millions of years ago and locked inside ancient rocks that contain fossilized remains along with oil and gas from altered organic matter. read more

Humans wouldn't become anything if it is oxidized, so unless we throw all of the bodies into an anoxic lake, nothing will be formed (just like what we see with dinosaur fossils and petrified trees). read more
