They should not hurt the dog's ears as long as they are not blown really loudly right by the ear same as with any other whistle. If you blew a police whistle right next to your ear really loudly it would be uncomfortable for you. I know dogs have super hearing compared to humans, and theres this thing called a dog whistle, which i read somewhere is supposed to be silent to humans but dogs having great hearing can hear it, idk but if someone yells in my ears, it hurts, so it stands to reason that a whistle would hurt a dogs ears. read more
