This is by no means comprehensive nor do I have exact numbers, but here are some major applications of fossil fuels in industry I can think of off the top of my head that you may want to investigate: Natural Gas: Besides electricity generation, natural gas is also used in the production of hydrogen via steam reforming, which is used in large volumes in the fertilizer industry (ammonia production). read more
