Do GSM phones work on Verizon?

Maybe I could get a better deal that way? I would also like the phone that I buy to be able to be used on other carriers, should I have a falling out with Verizon. Is this possible to do? If by “GSM” you mean 2G GSM or 3G UMTS phones, then these will not work directly on Verizon’s network. Verizon’s 2G and 3G services use CDMA technology, not GSM. So, the answer to your question is “NO”. read more
