Correct me if I'm wrong. I just have this theory. I feel like the reason why husky want to run away is purely to exercise and use their legs. If I'm running my husky 10-15 miles a week on a leash, I feel like she'd be less apt to run away knowing that we'd be running soon anyways. read more

Assuming they are not being mistreated, they do not run “away.” They will run given the chance. They like to run and explore and go on walkabouts. They do think “catch-me” is a fun game (and one we slow bipeds cannot win with our feet, we have to use our brains). read more

He should be taken running, hiking, and/or biking every day, always on-leash, for he is independent and born to run. If something catches his interest and he is off-leash, he'll be gone. Teaching him to pull carts and sleds gives him a purpose in life. read more
