If you check out okay in that regard, then it would be wise to investigate the possibility of Lyme disease. If you do have carotid artery disease and get it treated, and many of those symptoms still remain, Lyme would be an additional possibility for diagnosis. read more
If an abnormal sound, called a bruit, is heard over an artery, it may reflect turbulent blood flow. That could indicate carotid artery disease. He wants to do a sleep study and more spinal MRI soon. I also had a carotid artery sonogram a few days ago. I don’t have the results yet but will see my cardiologist soon. read more
