The original Jews were Semites, who were dark-complected/haired/eyed people. Of course they mixed with other peoples, but the majority were from the same part of the world, and would have looked similar. The majority of Ashkenazi Jews have dark hair and eyes (a similar proportion to Southern Europeans), and a significant portion have olive-colored or reddish skin. That being said, the “original” Judean Jews probably looked Levantine in coloration: olive-colored or pinkish skin with dark hair and eyes. read more
