well geckos are a reptile which means they are cold blooded. they need light to keep their body warm and regulated. it would be best if you went to a pet store and bought one lamp for day time use and there are different bulbs for night time use. one of each will be fine and there really is no sense of having a heat pad unless you are going to keep the tank on the floor. read more
