Do many people in Krakow speak English?

Krakow is a big city and a lot of people speak English. I found that when I first came there and haven’t spoken any Polish yet, even the cashiers in small stores would switch to English if they saw I had trouble understanding their questions. read more

People under 30 generally speak at least basic English. Realistically most will understand the majority of what you say (if you have an easy to understand accent) when speaking English, but many will not feel too comfortable speaking English. read more
