That would be a crossing boundaries, unprofessional, don't do it behavior on their part. Hard to talk about symptoms (potentially embarrassing ones for example) or other issues with someone you are flirting with. If what you mean is to joke around and be friendly depends on the situation and the patient. If I have a patient who knows each time they see me, it is hardly anything nice, I do try and lighten the mood a bit "Yes, it is me Nurse Jade again. Like a bad penny I just keep turning up". However, simply always conduct yourself in a strictly professional manner, ignore the comments if made, or a "That's not appropriate.," usually solves the problem for me.
