Orthodox Jews do indeed believe in hell. There is a concept of reward and punishment. If you do something good you get rewarded an if you do something bad the reverse happens. Once a new dies he goes to he heavenly court and is judged before God, and the final judgement will determine what their afterlife will be like. read more
