As Christians, we must believe the Old Testament to believe the new. The Old Testament contains the prophecies of Christ that we look to to support the claims that Jesus of Nazareth was that Christ. It contains prophecies about the end times—way more interesting than those found in Revelation, in my opinion, and useful for our day, as well. read more

According to the Old Testament, angels merely struck the citizens of Sodom with blindness before God firebombed the entire city. The TV series did include those elements as well. The show, however, did not mention the rampant homosexuality in Sodom, or that the city’s men actually sought to have sex with the angels. read more

The Sumerians believed but since the Jews we're actually Canaanites from the north I don't believe that belief system ever mentioned and afterlife. But I could be wrong we half to remember that the Egyptians, Greeks and Menoans all believed in and after life thanks to the Egyptians so the Canaanites being nieghbor's could very well been influenced by them. read more
