I think that psychologists lie, much the same as some people lie. They lie for the same reasons -- feeling there are things they have to hide; insecurities; not trusting patients. It is justified by lying to theirselves. They think they are doing the right thing. read more

If a patient cannot trust us to do so then the treatment will likely be fruitless. That said, therapists are human and not immune to the same motivations that might cause us all to lie from time to time. read more
