Do Russians think the Americans won the space race?

If you think Americans all walk around saying we "won the space race", then you're mistaken. But at the end of the day, our space program has ... Russia never matched that except with unmanned craft, and went off to do other things with their space program. read more

The Russians were the first to get into space (with Sputnik), and the first to have a human in space (Yuri Gagarin). But we really shocked the Russians to have the first man to orbit the earth (John Glenn), and to be the first on the moon (Apollo 11 & Niel Armstrong). read more
