All human rights, regardless of whether or not they are religious, trump animal rights. Animals don’t technically have rights in the first place. It’s not okay to abuse animals because of human rights (I can’t even think of a human or religious right that someone would need to abuse an animal for), but any rights that humans have come before animals. read more
