As a driver who has been caught speeding by speed cameras (both fixed and mobile, in police speed camera vans) a few times over the years (albeit not exceeding the speed limit by more than 10 mph) I would say that speed cameras can be really useful regarding road safety, and they have encouraged me to drive more carefully through built up areas, but they do have their limitations and even (you could say) abuses rather than uses. read more
