The Great Lakes certainly have waves big enough to surf on, and even big enough to sink 1000-foot lake freighters. I haven’t surfed in the lakes on a surf board, but it is often possible to surf in a canoe and I’ve even surfed an 18′ boat in Georgian Bay. read more
