Two chinchillas together will socialize with each other 20 hours of every day at least. I would never want to have just one chinchilla because they seem to prefer to socialize continually, and no human can ever replace the attention another chinchilla can give. read more

The chinchilla exercise wheel must have a solid running surface and not be made of wire mesh as chinchillas can easily trap their feet between the gaps or rip their feet off.
