Do two twin beds equal a king?

A standard king size mattress is 76 inches wide and 80 inches long. So technically two regular twin mattresses don't exactly equal a king size mattress because they are too short by 5 inches. Two extra long twin mattresses make a more accurately sized king size bed. In a pinch you could put them sideways and sleep across the king bed. read more
