This is normal. The nipping is a way they communicate to each other. If you find the bites painful at all, you can encourage the rabbit to be more gentle by giving a high pitched squeal. This will let the rabbit know that it has hurt you, and next time it will be more gentle or stop completely. read more

The rabbit bite may hurt more, initially, however considering cat’s are among the most toxic pet bites you can get: Being bitten by your CAT is much more dangerous than you think.
