Having the ERA would help because it would support women morally and legally. If a woman was fighting a legal battle for her rights in the workplace, the ERA would support that battle. While we do have the Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Title VII and Title IX, women's rights are still vulnerable. read more

Women won the right to vote in 1920. The next step was supposed to be full equality for women under the Constitution. Almost a century later, that still has not happened. The United States Constitution still does not provide women with the same rights as men.
