Do you get a gun license in the British army?

No need, because you are using the government's weapons, not buying your own. The government (through the army) makes sure that you are trained to safely operate the weapon system, makes sure that it is correctly stored when not in use etc. read more

No. You are trained in the use of specific firearms but if you wish to own your own firearms at home you'll need top go through the same process as a civilian to get your own firearms licence. Being in the military will only help for the interview stage. read more

You don't get a “gun license” in the military, and I'm not sure what a regular gun license is. However, training i received in the military and proved with a DD214 to the sheriff when i applied for my CHL (Concealed Handgun License) meet the requirement for handgun training required for that particular license, so i wasn't required to take any class, just do the fingerprinting and background search. read more
