Golf carts work downtown in most places and the barrier islands. Anywhere else and you take your life in your own hands. There is a green movement that is pushing for change but they are up against politics in the South which is generally car friendly. South Carolinians are inordinately friendly and polite, UNITL they get in to a car. read more
