As a black person who has lived in the Atlanta metro area my whole life, I would say yes. I didn't realize how black Atlanta really was until I went to other states (towns). In some places, there were no black people. NOT ONE. It's very odd to come from Atlanta, where you'll see black people everyday, to not seeing any. read more

To me, Atlanta offers options live in multicultural areas (that happen to include people of all shades), or, to self select into an area where there are more people who look like you. read more

Urban blacks in Atlanta actually criticize improving poor neighborhoods, arguing that it prices out black residents. On the other hand, LGBT residents tend to cheer rising real estate prices in the city. All in all Atlanta is a great place to be an educated, affluent black person. read more
