As Anonymous hinted at, the ice can be quite dangerous. The freeways are made of very solid concrete, and they turn into ice skating rinks. On occasion, hundreds are cars are wrecked and/or stranded. We don't know how to drive on ice very well. read more

Yes, North Central Texas does get snow. In the DFW area itself does not get as much snow as outlining areas do to the ‘concrete heat dome’ that covers the Metroplex. Ice and snow are most common the last half of January through the first two weeks if February. read more
