If you have wheel spin/drifting in corners even if you make it through the corner as fast as a driver who isnt (extremely unlikely) you will lose valuable seconds reorienting your car and trying to get your tires to stick back to the road for the straight. read more

In real racing situations, certain drivers will enter/exit corners at speeds beyond the car's level of grip, demonstrate some 4-wheel drifting, and show better times, due to higher entry and exit speed. read more

Post by alexbarwell » Mon Sep 22, 2008 1:38 am Some setups (like honda a couple of years ago)have trouble getting heat into tyres to work properly, so a bit of drift can help in the first few laps, but keep it up and you run out of useable tyre way too soon. read more
