Yes. As a Filipino, I find Bahasa Indonesia and Melayu sounding a lot similar not only to Filipino but virtually to all Philippine languages. If I won't listen carefully, I would think a Bahasa to be Tagalog spoken with strong Maranao or Maguinadanaoan accent. I had been to Singapore and Malaysia where Malay is spoken, and it sounded really familliar. read more
