Does Homo sapiens mean wise or just thinking Homo?

Sapience just means knowing or thinking. Some have used "wise" as a translation instead of "knowing", but I think a wise species of humans has not yet evolved. However it would be a good idea. read more

One side puts them as 2 separate species: Homo sapiens(us) and Homo neandertalis. The other side puts them as sub species: Homo sapiens sapiens(us) and Homo sapiens neandertalis. Cro-Magnons are us, Neandertals are either a different species or a different sub-species, the jury is still out on that one. read more
