On the rare occasions that it snows in Austin (every few years), it's usually gone within 24 hours, if that long. Everything stops because a great deal of the population has absolutely no experience in driving in snow and ice conditions, so even if YOU know how to drive in it, that doesn't mean you're safe. read more
