Does putting lotion on your lips work the same as chapstick?

No dear it doesn't. The lips needs to be moisturized but not as much as the skin. ChapStick is a moderate version of it and I know if you lick your lips during the day and taste the lotion, you'd definitely gag. So no, lotion doesn't work as ChapStick for the lips. read more

If you really want to lock-in the moisture, put a piece of plastic wrap over your moistened lips for a bit. Obviously, don’t suffocate yourself; breathe through your nose or cut an opening for mouth. read more
