Groundwater is everywhere if one is willing to drill deep enough and tolerate water that migrates into the well very slowly and might be highly mineralized. The Sahara is one of the better sources. It was temperate in the last ice age and some of its alluvial basins no longer have any natural drainage. Their fossil water is trapped. read more
