Solid rocket boosters, the entirety of which can be considered both and engine and a fuel tank, couldn't be used for true reusability, as once lit they cannot be shut off, and even the pseudo-reusable space shuttle solid rocket boosters had to be pretty much fully reconstructed for each launch. read more
