Many people who are pre-nursing majors at UGA apply to the Athens SONAT program of the Medical College of Georgia - the Athens nursing branch of the college. Because it is a SONAT program, students attending this branch still benefit from all the rights and privileges that UGA has to offer. The program is, however, very competitive and only admit 60 students a year. I was a UGA student and had to transfer to attend nursing school - the hardest thing I have ever had to do. read more
