Yes it has. As Wood said, it isn't common and it's very hard, but it has been done and even with with adult ones. I have eaten kosher meat from the wildlife found in South Africa, and Africa in general. There are a few Shochtim (ritual slaughterers) who have actually gone into the bush on expeditions to slaughter wild animals, including Giraffes. read more
